Black Girls Rock!

Last night, BET aired the 5th Annual Black Girls Rock Awards hosted by Nia Long. The event, which took place last month, was created by Beverly Bond to empower and highlight the accomplishments of African American women. A few of the nights’ honorees included the likes of Raven Symone, Keke Palmer, Iyanla Vanzant, Missy Elliot, and legendary actress Ruby Dee. Performers included Jill Scott, Keri Hilson, Monica, Keyshia Cole, Shontelle, Fantasia and many more.

The show was phenomenal and I think everyone can agree that one of the most memorable moments of the night was the rendition of Nina Simone’s “Four Women” sang by Kelly Price, Marsha Ambrosius, Jill Scott and Ledisi.
