"He's gonna be like embarrassed... I said some really great things about him in the book and about people's perception of him... but it is what it is. He took it the wrong way." |
Jay-Z's responds to one of the most interesting rapper feuds of all time - between himself and MC Hammer. The rapper's lyrics in the song "So Appalled" refering to MC Hammer's early-90's bankruptcy started this "holy" war of some sorts. In the song, he spits, "Hammer went broke so you know I'm more focused/I lost 30 mil' so I spent another 30/ 'Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can't hurt me."
MC Hammer's response was a lot of angry tweets and new song and music video? Yes, you've read correctly! MC Hammer released a video on Halloween day called "Better Run Run", referring to the notorious urban myth with Jay-Z's assocation with devil worship. In fact he dubbed the rapper "#hellboy."
However Jay-Z clears to the air by stating in an interview withDJ Semtex that his lyrics were not meant to insult MC Hammer, in fact he stated that MC Hammer took it the wrong way. He even goes on to say that in his literary debut,Decoded, he compliments MC Hammer a lot. Hopefully with Hov's explanation, the feud will be over?
