They were only too willing to show off their fashion and style. - Laranzo Dacres photos Zee Party Hard was a party for the ZIP FM family and their fans and as Hurricane Tomas loomed, only a handful of patrons dared to brave the weather.
Held at Sugarman's Beach Club in Portmore on Sunday night, the event, nonetheless, was a worthwhile venture for those who attended.
The ZJs worked up quite a sweat charming the revellers from the wheels of steel, creating a vibe that was nothing short of exceptional.
Andrene, a patron attending the event told THE STAR that having arrived at the venue rather early, she found that it was the latter part of the evening that the vibes lit up on the sandy shores of the beach club, which is increasingly becoming a party hot spot.
"Trust mi, in the later part it did good, di vibes did deh deh," she said.
At their disposal the patrons had a large foam pit that was situated at the centre of the sandy area that had been cordoned off to create a controlled environment for the party. A number of females kept some of the male patrons gazing in the foam pit as they wined and gyrated their bodies to the music in the foamy centre of the pit. In proximity to the foam pit was the mechanical bull that also had some females hooked.
"I don't know why, but the ladies are always drawn to the mechanical bull, so once I have an event I make sure that the mechanical bull is there," promoter Mark Wint said as he watched a female patron hang on for dear life on the ride.
true spirit of 'partying hard'
Of course, without music partying would be non-existent and in the true spirit of 'partying hard', the musical 'chemists' of ZIP FM whipped up a potent brew of the more popular and favoured mixture of songs to the delight of the patrons.
ZIP 'royalties' like ZJ Liquid, Chrome, Bambino, Sparks and Wah Wa were on hand. Carrying on a vibe that was ignited by ZJ Bambino, ZJ Liquid played his song Buss A Whine followed by Fambo's Neva Sober, Khago's Nah Sell Out Part 2 and Liquid featuring Patexxx's Party Wi Seh. The reaction of the patrons was only natural as they danced and consumed alcohol all night.
Earlier, ZJ Bambino had two females tussling away in the foam pit for a brand new Nokia mobile phone and the onlookers enjoyed every minute of it, as they watched in glee, while others recorded the friendly fight on their mobile phones.
Chi Ching Ching and Versatile were also in the house, and the former graced the microphone with his hilarious slangs that had the revellers in stitches.
Despite not having a great turnout due to the broadcast of the approaching hurricane, coupled with the heavy downpour of rain in Portmore earlier in the day, Zee Party Hard's third instalment was well received.
